Hotel Colonial Manizales

The hotel photo online gives the wrong impression of the entrance. It was taken from a public square across the street, so there isn’t a big front courtyard, just the street in front. Our four rooms were clean, including the washrooms, though mine was an interior room with no outside window. The lobby seating area seemed to be for breakfast, with no real food service there. We were travelling light and did our own laundry, and they let us hang wet clothes on the lines where they hang their laundry. That worked better than spreading everything around our rooms.

It’s a family-friendly hotel with good service. I liked it.

Really great.

I didn’t stay overnight, so I can only speak about the restaurant. The food is good value, especially the bandeja paisa. The hotel is right in the city center, which is handy if you need to be in this area or want to explore the historic center.
