Hotel Expedición Mutis

The place is fairly near downtown Mariquita, but the owners’ behavior made this the worst experience I’ve had. The woman kept telling me what I could and couldn’t do throughout the day. She even complained to me about her staff and criticized them. It was awful.

The location makes things easy, with the central park, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby. There’s no restaurant at the hotel, but plenty of options close by. We had no trouble getting back in when we returned early in the morning after going out at night. The owners run the hotel and gave us a warm welcome, helpful recommendations, and excellent service. I found them very friendly. The grounds are spacious, and our room was clean with the basics, including TV and air conditioning. The inviting pool was especially nice since there were few other guests, so we got to enjoy it for a while. I’d definitely come back.

With no other guests around during our stay, the service felt personal. We had what we needed in the rooms for a comfortable visit, and the pool was a lovely way to unwind after traveling. We also worked from the hotel using the Wi-Fi. It wasn’t strong, but it did the job.

The service was terrible, and I wouldn’t recommend it at all. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this hotel isn’t the place to go.
