It's only my first night, but dinner was already a highlight. The steak was cooked perfectly and is among the best I've had in Colombia. I'm tempted to order it every night until I leave. The staff have been so kind and welcoming, especially the woman at the front desk who helped carry my heavy suitcases and got me settled in a perfect room. Great service, lovely people, delicious food, and the cutest dog. I'm looking forward to the rest of my stay.

I arrived exhausted after a long trip, very early in the morning and loaded down with luggage. They kindly let me check in several hours ahead of the usual time. Luc even carried my heaviest bag up to my room on the third floor and brought it inside. He is down to earth, kind, and clearly involved in helping guests feel safe and comfortable. The welcome felt more like being received into a family home than checking into a hotel. Everyone, from reception to the restaurant and housekeeping, was sincerely warm and attentive. They asked how I was doing, remembered little details, and took time for conversation and suggestions about Medellín. The rooms were cozy and spotless, and the building's character is well cared for. In historic Barrio Prado, the rooftop terrace gives lovely views of Medellín, especially in the soft morning or evening light. It really felt like “mi otro hogar”, my other home. The restaurant deserves a mention on its own. Breakfast, coffee, and dinner all tasted fresh, flavorful, and carefully made, with the feel of a favorite local bistro. 61Prado Hotel combines boutique style with the warmth of a guesthouse, and the people make the hospitality stand out. To me, 61Prado is Medellín’s best kept secret. If you want to feel cared for and welcome while exploring Medellín, stay here. I can honestly say, if you didn't stay at 61Prado, you didn't really stay in Medellín.

I first came to Medellin in 2018 and was lucky to find 61 Prado. I've returned at least 20 times, and on my latest visit I stayed for five months. It's more like home than a hotel. Lucas and the staff feel like family to me, and I've made close friends among the many international travelers who stay there. I love the rooftop terrace, the comfortable, spacious, quiet rooms where I sleep like a baby, and the outstanding restaurant. I eat there at least twice a day, every day. The prices are extremely reasonable, too. I'm very thankful I found 61 Prado, and will probably come back for another five months. If you're coming to the city, you really should stay there.

The hotel's central location is a bit shady, but the friendly service, tasty food, and great rooftop views made up for it. We stayed a week and were glad we did. Mila and Julia, the hotel dogs, made us feel at home.
