Autenthico Provenza Hotel Medellin

Internet drops out, so digital nomads should keep that in mind. The property is still getting improvements, and I can’t wait to return. It’s in a calm, quiet area where I slept well, but also well placed for walking around and finding “everything.” The bed was incredibly comfortable, the food was great, and the staff were friendly. The tour arrangement was the biggest problem. We signed up for a Guatapé day tour based on the receptionist’s flyers because we were told the guide spoke English. When the guide picked us up, though, they spoke only Spanish and used Google Translate. That caused a lot of inconvenience. If I’d known it was a Spanish only tour, I would have chosen another agency instead of wasting the time. The receptionist is 100% responsible for that. The communication about breakfast and the spa was confusing too. They’re actually run by businesses outside the hotel, although breakfast was pretty OK. The neighborhood itself is quiet and has good cafés and restaurants nearby, and the room insulation kept other travelers from bothering us.

I’d happily stay at Authéntico Home Provenza again. My room was spacious, thoughtfully designed, and had a lovely bathroom with lots of natural light. It was good value for the price. The location puts you right in the heart of Provenza, near great restaurants, bars, and plenty to explore. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and always available when I needed help. Highly recommend it for a visit to Medellín.

The staff were kind and really helpful, and I found the bed very comfortable. I enjoyed my time at Autenthico Provenza, especially the tasteful room design. I’d definitely come back.
