Element Hotel

Right behind Karol G’s restaurant on Provenza Street, so you're in the middle of the party scene. The noise is pretty intense into the early morning. If you want to party, you've got it all here, but it's not the place for peace and quiet.

The owner is there every day. She speaks English well and is very polite. The place is worth the stay, and the location is just right.

BUYER BEWARE. I was so uncomfortable with the stay that I checked out a day early. The owner's employees were courteous and friendly, which was the opposite of my experience with her. At check-in, I met the owner, a woman whose name I can't recall. She said she was the BOSS and told me her policy was to charge 110,000 PESOS for each guest. I respectfully pointed out that this amount wasn't shown on hotels.com and that it seemed unfair to bring up a fee after a customer had paid in full and arrived. She didn't care or try to make things better. I also asked to change rooms because in room 202, too much shower water came out under the shower floor. It soaked the floor towel and about 30% of the shower area, making it slippery. They didn't fix that issue either.

The room's bathroom was clogged, and they couldn't repair it. They moved me, then made me return to the same room and removed my luggage without asking. That was the worst part of a terrible hotel experience, and I absolutely wouldn't recommend staying here. The location is the only thing in its favor, though there's noise there too. Service was terrible, and breakfast was very basic. I'd rather pay a little more to be comfortable.
