The Somos Loho Hotel

My friend and I stayed in a beautiful two-bedroom suite, with a big patio and very comfortable beds and pillows. We both slept so well. The hotel’s design is lovely, and the staff seemed genuinely excited to help, like they were welcoming us into their home. It’s in a safe, fairly quiet part of town, away from the party scene. There are three food options right there, and most places we wanted to go were just a $5 cab ride away.

We felt safe here, and everything was within a 15 minute radius. The view exceeded expectations, and the architecture and design of The Somos Loho and its apartments are exquisite. The front desk was always attentive and helpful, and I loved the concept and branding. As a Colombian entrepreneur, I’m proud of what they’ve created and of Colombian entrepreneurs’ branding capabilities, especially since I brought my American boyfriend and family. The WiFi was fast, around 200+ mb/s up and down, which my boyfriend really appreciated. We’ll stay with The Somos again next time we’re here. The cleaning and gym could use improvement. Cleaning felt mediocre, often taking less than 10 minutes, and the floors and terrace remained grimy and dusty. At a higher-than-average price in this prestigious part of the poblado, amenities are a big part of what you’re paying for. We go to the gym a lot, and it would be nice to have resistance bands, more bare bells, and mirrors, plus less hospital-like lighting to make the space more appealing. Still, the views and architecture didn’t disappoint.

Dani and Michael made sure we were comfortable and helped with every little request. We had the chance to stay in one of the finest apartments we’ve experienced. The balcony views were stunning, the location was convenient for cafes and malls, and there’s a great paved path for walking or running. You can’t beat Medellin weather. We’ll visit again!

The layout worked especially well when guests went to bed at different times. The bedrooms were far enough from the living room that TV noise wasn’t a problem, and the master bathroom shower opened to the outdoors, which was a cool and unusual touch. The showers were great. The hotel is in a beautiful, safe neighborhood, with good restaurants nearby and an excellent restaurant attached to the hotel. The location was excellent. Rooms were elegant, thoughtfully designed, and practical. The kitchen was fully equipped, so staying there felt more like being at home. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating with everything we needed.
