Hotel Estelar Milla de Oro

For a hotel at this level, it's hard to understand why there's no kettle in the room or basic toiletries like a toothbrush or cotton pads. Not bad otherwise.

Breakfast was a highlight: lots of choices, great eggs, good fruit, and a chic restaurant on the third floor. We really enjoyed our three nights and thought everything was good. Our eighth-floor room was spacious, the shower and facilities were very clean, and housekeeping did a nice job each day. The gym is small, with two treadmills and some weights, but the Turkish bath and sauna were amazing. You need to tell reception in advance so they can switch them on at the right time. Check-in staff didn't explain all the hotel facilities in detail, though they did arrange an earlier-than-usual check-in, which we appreciated. We'd recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Medellin.

My stay at Hotel Eatelar in Medellín was awful. On 8/4, I left my diamond stud earrings on the bathroom counter by accident and realized it that same day. I called right away, but they were never “found.” They were valuable and meant a great deal to me, and I'm furious about the lack of honesty. What upset me further was how little anyone seemed to care. No real effort to look into it, no concern, no accountability. I felt brushed off. A hotel should be somewhere you can trust, but this one didn't feel that way. My stay was 8/4 to 8/7 2025. I'll never stay here again, and I strongly warn others not to expect integrity or security here.
