The staff were the highlight for me. They were patient, engaging, and so helpful, especially since I don't speak Spanish, and made sure I had what I needed. Fairfield by Marriott Medellin Sabaneta was a great choice, and I'd happily give it 5 stars. My room was fresh, comfortable, organized, spotless, and well cared for each day. The complimentary breakfast was what you'd expect from the brand. The hotel is a bit outside the main parts of Medellín, so getting into town means taking a taxi, but I liked the quieter, safe, relaxed setting in Sabaneta compared with the busy city center.

I slept well, though I used earplugs since I'm a very light sleeper. I'd come back and stay here. Valentina and Santiago deserve 5 stars for finding me the perfect room, and the bed and aircon were perfect. The room was a little small but cozy, with a good shower. I booked this hotel because I wanted a quiet place after a horrible Airbnb experience where the windows let all the noise into the bedrooms. The gym was good, though there's no pool. I didn't try the complimentary breakfast, so can't comment on it. The one drawback was the window system. Some noise still came through, though only a little, and double glazed glass would be better for keeping it out. When it rained, drops made a lot of noise on the aluminum window frame.

The restaurant food was very good, and the staff were polite, organized, and professional. I had an excellent stay at the Marriott in Sabaneta, in a nice, safe area.

It's a beautiful, relaxing hotel with good food, buffet service, and a welcoming staff, away from the noise. Unfortunately, there were uncomfortable incidents: housekeeping ladies came into the room without announcing themselves, and some things went missing from my luggage.

The rooms are a little small but nice. Great location, good breakfast, and good service too.
