When I come to Medellín, this is where I stay. Diana, Lucia, and Luisfer make me feel like part of the family. I only choose this hotel because of the staff, period. They’ve been accommodating, and I know the service will always be great. The reason I don’t give it 5 stars is one issue with reservations. If you don’t enter the exact number of people staying when you book, staff will try to charge an insane amount per person at check-in, even for a child. That’s not common across IHG hotels around the world. My spouse might decide to join me at the last minute, or my Mom, or I may simply have made a mistake when booking. The IHG app gives you a maximum number of occupants allowed in the room, so I wonder why the hotel is trying to make money from me this way. It’s not a good conversation to have at check-in at 12 am, after 14 hours of flying around the world to get there.

We’ve stayed here several times over the past year and have always been satisfied. Definitely the best option for Poblado. The free breakfast buffet is great and runs until 10am, and there’s free parking nearby. Restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. I recommend Dinoi Italian for pizza and BBC for burgers, both onsite.

Something was stolen from my suitcase on the first day we had the room cleaned. We reported it to the front desk and manager, but they reacted without sympathy. They said the employees had worked there for two years and that we should use the safe, as if our suitcase would fit in one. They offered no apology and did nothing. The response was just, “they couldn't have done it because they've been working here for two years.” Theft is simply condoned here. SHAME ON YOU. NEVER AGAIN!

The rooms were really nice and the location is great, but the service was awful. The front desk hosts were rude and didn’t try to help with what we needed. I went with my family, and they treated all of us the same way. Two stars.

The staff were wonderful, and breakfast was delicious. It’s an excellent hotel. I can’t wait to come back!
