Hotel Ofix - Laureles Estadio

Works well enough when you just need somewhere to stay, though most of the rooms have no windows.

The rooms seem roomy and modern, but the service was awful. There were no towels or toilet paper unless we asked, and roaches were all over the property. It made the stay disgusting and completely unacceptable.

The hotel was quiet most of the time, and the price seemed fair, though this was my first trip to Colombia so I can't be sure. We stayed for three weeks. Our room was clean and spacious, with a little kitchenette, a stove, and a few pots and plates. From the back of the hotel on the fourth floor, the view was lovely, especially at night. There were three of us, but after each room cleaning they left three towels. I kept asking for a fourth to use as a bath mat, and you'd think they'd remember after a few times. We also had trouble with the air conditioner remote. It stopped working, maintenance checked it and said they'd replace the batteries, but two days later it failed again. When I took it to the desk, they said we'd have to pay for another because no one had reported a problem. I reminded them we'd told them on our first day, and eventually they gave us a replacement.

I wasn't sure about this hotel at first, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The room was large and clean, and the staff were friendly. Julio, the morning receptionist, was especially helpful. There's underground parking, though no elevator. My room was on the fourth floor, and they carried my bag up and back down. There are also several breakfast places nearby.
