At checkout, I spotted charges for multiple guests and minibar items that didn’t seem right. It took more than 10 minutes with the front desk to correct the bill, and they adjusted it only after I checked each item and pushed back. Earlier, I’d booked this hotel specifically for a room advertised with a balcony, but on arrival they moved me to a standard room without one and offered no meaningful explanation or adjustment. That night I brought a guest to my room. We checked in at the front desk, and nobody mentioned an extra guest fee. Around 4:00 AM, an employee came to my floor, knocked aggressively, and said I owed 200,000 COP. Being confronted that way in the middle of the night was unsettling and inappropriate. Then around 8:00 AM, the manager woke me with repeated knocks and continuous calls to the room phone. That felt excessive and unprofessional. As an American traveler, I found the unclear pricing and handling of these problems especially difficult to navigate without familiarity with local norms or the language. The room change, undisclosed fees, night disturbances, and billing issues all fell far below reasonable expectations. I wouldn’t stay again and recommend choosing another hotel. In my experience, nearby Hotel Du Parc or The Art Hotel offer a much more transparent and professional experience for international travelers.

Breakfast was OK, but the service made it hard to feel welcome. None of the employees smiled, only one spoke English, and some didn’t understand even basic words. The location is perfect for tours around Medellín. There’s a club next door that can sometimes be noisy, especially on weekends, and there are rodents right in front of the hotel. Neither is the hotel’s fault, just letting people know.

The place is clean and fresh, and the staff respond quickly when something comes up to make sure guests are comfortable. It’s a small hotel, but everyone is friendly and supportive. Alex is especially caring, always checking in and sharing ideas. I recommend staying here. Linton & Joan

The rooms were comfortable, and the beds were super comfy. The food was great, and the staff made us feel welcome. Peaceful place, recommended 👌🏻💯

The staff were thoughtful in ways you don’t see often. My flight was late at night, and they offered to store my luggage during the day. When I had to switch rooms because I hadn’t booked enough nights, entirely my fault, they moved all my belongings while I was out on a tour. Everything was organized and nothing was missing, which I really appreciated. Someone also walks you to your room and gives a quick tour of the remotes and controls, which felt polite and professional. The hotel is just off the main road, so it’s quieter and I slept well, while still close enough to everything. There’s a laundry place down the street that washes and folds clothes for $1.50 USD per pound, and the area has what you need. The place was clean, prices were fair, staff were extremely helpful, and breakfast was good. The rooftop bar and lounge were amazing. Even the chocolate bars, chips, and alcohol in the minibar were fairly priced. I was super happy with my stay and would certainly come back.
