ibis Medellin

I used to think much better of this place, which was great years ago. The amenities have gone downhill: there are no flat sheets, blanket, or even a hand towel to dry our hands, and the twin beds are tiny and really uncomfortable, like beds for kids. We nearly fell out of bed last night. Now they won't let us check out early or refund the two unused nights, even though we need bigger beds. I feel like they're keeping us hostage somewhere we don't want to be.

The location felt both convenient and safe, and my stay was a really good one. Alvaro at the front desk was especially professional and helped me sort out a couple of things. I'd happily recommend the hotel.

I used to enjoy staying at ibis because of the useful everyday amenities, but they seem to be gone now. The service wasn't great either: staff kept asking for my documents because their scan hadn't worked, and they came across as passive aggressive. The twin beds were kid-sized, the comforter was tiny, there was no flat sheet, and no blankets.

The staff were nice and the place itself was pleasant, but the rooms are very small. There's no fridge or minibar, or anything like that, and the restaurant was lacking. Also, don't expect the front desk to reply to an email.
