I paid in cash, which may have made it obvious where and how I was keeping my money, and left me with little recourse. During my stay, about $2,000 USD and 1,000,000 COP were taken from my money belt in the room. I had no guests, and there was no forced entry. That strongly suggests someone with a key got in. I also saw clear signs the room had been entered while I was out. Management would not let me review the security footage, which concerns me deeply. I’d strongly advise other travelers to avoid this property and take extra care with valuables.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating, and the location is easy to get around from, with a fitness center and coffee shop downstairs. The rooms have thin walls, though, so hallway and common area noise carries. We also found termites in our room. I was moved to one on the floor below, but that room had termites too.

The location is good, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here for long. On arrival, we couldn’t tell where to go because there’s no sign saying reception is on the second floor. Our room was missing sheets, blankets, towels, and toilet paper. The bathroom light didn’t work, and we were told it wouldn’t be fixed. When the sheets and blanket finally came, they had all kinds of stains. Really gross. We had to ask for toilet paper again because they “forgot” it another time. The staff were fairly nice when responding, but did little or nothing to improve things.

The staff were very sweet and considerate, especially the red headed woman, and we were grateful for that. The place itself was mostly neat and near a safe area, but it’s also close to a more dangerous commercial zone. Locals warned us about robbers and dangerous homeless people hiding in the green space out front. The Wi-Fi was terrible, and housekeeping repeatedly left us without toilet paper or towels, didn’t empty the small bins, and made the bed without cleaning. This happened at least twice with the towels, and the bedding had bits of food on it when we arrived, along with full trash bins. We also never got the room we’d originally been assigned. We were told we’d move the next day, but after about a week that still hadn’t happened. I think it may have been because of the room’s condition or a damaged wall shown in my last photo, but the person spoke too quickly and we didn’t ask more.
