Moabi Hotel

The biggest disappointment was the noise. My room faced a busy road in El Poblado, and a lot of street sound came through despite the hotel’s soundproofing claim. The shower also took too long to get hot, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. Beyond that, the hotel is modern and in one of Medellín’s safest neighborhoods. Alexa controls the curtains, lights, and TV, while the mattress and bathroom are high quality. Staff were outstanding, and the breakfast has three main options, all very good.

Breakfast is served at the table and was delicious. I also liked how much wardrobe space there was, and the rooms felt clean and very modern. The room’s Alexa controls the air conditioning, lights, and TV, and you use your phone as a virtual key. It’s conveniently located in El Poblado, a good base for seeing Medellin, and the place is really pleasing to look at. I’d happily recommend it.

The tea and coffee setup was confusing. There’s a kettle and standard tea and coffee bags in the room, but trying them led to a charge, with no notice or price list. It felt at odds with the simplicity and wabi-sabi idea the hotel promotes. Even so, it’s good value. The hotel is brand new, stylish, modern, and clean, with tasty breakfasts, good WiFi, and pleasant staff. It’s a nice place to rest, though the bathroom doors make an unpleasant noise.

The breakfast was very nice and the staff were friendly. The hotel is beautiful, though it wasn’t especially clean.
