The only real drawback was the noise, especially in the morning. Our room’s only window faced the corridor, so we could hear it all. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable, and the shared kitchen had everything we needed to make good meals.

Laundry came back quickly, though the service felt a little expensive. The staff were helpful and very friendly, and there’s plenty of food nearby in the desirable El Pablado neighborhood. You’ll need some basic Spanish. The hostal was clean and nice.

The owner is a delight and always ready to help with anything. It’s a great place to stay, with a shared kitchen and a private bathroom in every room.

The beds had good mattresses and the cleanliness was acceptable, but we had a poor stay overall. Our room was very hot because there was no air conditioning. Staff at the desk spoke loudly, making it hard to sleep, and the staff were unfriendly. We’d been told the shared bathroom was available to guests, but staff wouldn’t let us use it or got upset when we tried. There’s no parking at the hotel, so we had to pay 20,000 pesos separately to park two blocks away.

The rooms felt more like hotel rooms than hostel rooms, and they were clean and comfortable. Natalia and Carmen were wonderful hosts who gave us all kinds of recommendations. It was a great base for exploring Medellín. Thanks for being so hospitable, Natalia!
