Wake Living

For our first visit to Medellin, we came for a friend’s wedding and stayed at Wake. The area felt very safe, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The spacious room was clean and comfortable, and we felt right at home. Laura was really friendly when we checked out. I’d happily recommend the hotel and come back.

We had a smooth, easy stay at Wake Living. The staff were great throughout, answered calls quickly, and explained everything clearly from the beginning. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and having a jacuzzi on the balcony was a nice touch. There are good bars, cafes, and places to eat nearby, plus a health and wellness spot in the building. Most rooms had two bathrooms rather than one, which matters. A really solid place with great service and location.

The apartment was beautiful and modern, and the location, gym, and pool area were all nice. But sleeping in was impossible. There was construction noise as well as very loud gym classes starting at 06:00 in the morning. We also booked a Comuna 13 tour through the hotel. Nelson arranged it, then charged us significantly more than we had agreed. He seemed dishonest, so I’d avoid dealing with him.

The vibe is stylish, lively, and sexy, though service can be a little slow. The property is stunning, spotless, and smells incredible, with an excellent downstairs restaurant and a decent gym. It’s easy to walk to Provenza and the local hotspots. The rooms and views are spectacular, and it feels like having a nicer apartment away from home, with full cleaning staff, security, and a concierge.
