The beds were the hardest I’ve ever slept on. They had no springs, just what felt like hard foam pads, and we woke up with severe back pain. The pillows were wrapped in plastic, I assume to keep them from getting wet, but that made them uncomfortable too. Music from the street nightclub could be heard all the way in the back rooms, and we couldn’t sleep until around 3 am. Poolside music also went on until 10 pm. We stayed one night while visiting melgar. With a 4.1 Google rating, we expected somewhere peaceful, but the first room offered faced an extremely loud nightclub. At 4 pm the music was so loud we couldn’t hear the TV at full volume. We asked to move and got a poolside room, which was noisy too. We also didn’t like the no outside food or drink policy. At over 100mil COP, it was an expensive motel that didn’t meet the expectations set by the reviews and room price.

The hotel is in a convenient spot, though bars, clubs, and commercial stores all around it make the area extremely noisy. The staff were really kind, and the common areas and pool were generally in good shape. Our room was clean and tidy, but the humidity smell throughout it was so bad it wasn’t breathable, a serious problem for a place to stay. I asked for a refund, and the hotel returned my money that same day.

The rooms are spacious enough, the bathrooms clean, and the service is great. You can pay by cash or card. It’s well located if you want to be near the party spots.

Right in central Melgar, and otherwise everything was very good. The downside is music noise that goes on until the early morning, so getting proper quiet rest is impossible.
