Arimaca Sierra Nevada

We were comfortable here even as a couple, though the house can sleep up to 14 people across three bedrooms. Two rooms share a bathroom, and the third has its own. The kitchen is huge and has everything you need. What makes the stay especially easy is the family next door, Yuli, Jesus, and their kids Jose and Jesus. They prepare and serve meals and clean the house and bedrooms each day. Bring enough food and drinks for Yuli to cook with. It’s better to shop in Santa Martha or on the way to Minca, since the shops in Minca have limited supplies. There are lovely places to visit nearby. Oido del Mundo waterfall is five minutes away and part of the premises, Marinca waterfalls are about 20 minutes away, and the trail to Los Pinos takes around 1.5 to 2 hours and is steep in places. Minca itself is a 20 to 30 minute walk, or about 10 minutes by 4x4. The house sits in the middle of nature, with splendid views all around and a private river and small waterfalls just a few minutes away. It’s a unique, well-designed place with cooking and cleaning service, and after visiting Minca often, this is easily my favorite spot. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable, relaxed stay in nature, and I hope to return a few more times soon. Enjoy life, Paul!
