The staff were friendly, the cabins are nice with nature around them, and breakfast was delicious. But this place is anything but an ecohub. The main road is insanely noisy. We woke at 4:30 to big trucks passing so close it felt like they were driving through the cabin. If you need a quiet place, definitely go somewhere else. It's not eco at all. If I wanted that kind of noise, I could set my bed up next to the highway.

The property has expansive grounds but is still close enough to walk into Minca. I liked the bamboo architecture set in the middle of nature, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Spanish chef was fun, and both breakfast and dinner were enjoyable.

I had a lovely time unwinding in the hammock, and the bungalow I stayed in was so cute. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant had a lovely view. I especially enjoyed the coffee at breakfast.

Ivan at reception deserves a special mention. He was gracious, friendly, and spoke excellent English. His suggestions and directions helped us make the most of our time in Minca. After a long day hiking, he was happy to arrange food delivery to our room, and he also organized tours and transport when we asked. He really made our trip. The ecohotel is a short walk from town and its amenities, with lovely cliffside views over the valley and Santa Marta in the distance. Our room was an open-air, two-level structure with netting, a living area below and a bedroom upstairs. It had a private bathroom with shower, a balcony with hammocks and a beautiful view, and a very comfortable mattress and pillows. Everything was impeccably clean. Breakfast was simple and tasty: fruit, juice, coffee or tea, and Colombian dishes like corn patties, arepas, and eggs. We highly recommend it, and send a big thanks to Ivan for making our stay so enjoyable.
