Hotel Platinum Boutique

We found it to be probably the best value in central Monteria. It's close to the Malecón, and the common areas were pleasant. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The staff also helped us plan excursions, which was invaluable, and service at reception and over the delicious breakfast was exceptional. We loved the whole stay.

Breakfast was very average. We were only passing through and stayed one night at the Hotel Platinum, which was being renovated. The work made things pretty inconvenient: paint smell in the room and bathroom, dust everywhere, and newspapers, cardboard boxes, and construction materials left in the stairwell.

The staff gave good directions, and the room itself was comfortable, with air conditioning, a shower, and a small anteroom. But the bathroom was dirty, with urine in the toilet bowl and a badly stained sink, so I rated it low. A friend also said the receptionist was using his phone very late at night with the volume up, making it hard for her to sleep.

The staff were attentive and the service was very good. Rooms were clean and especially spacious, and the air conditioning worked great, which matters in Monteria's heat.
