The drive to Pacho in Cundinamarca is on a road that’s more or less okay, though it’s being repaired, and having to pay two tolls is awful. At the hotel, the photos of the facilities and rooms look very different from reality. The place is in really poor condition now and badly neglected, which is a shame because it used to be a nice hotel. The breakfast is very basic, and $220.000 is far too much for what you get. It needs a major renovation.

The staff are really friendly, and the location is good. It’s a basic hotel, with rooms that are fine for one night; there’s a pool, and they sell beer and chips. Breakfast comes with the stay, though the price feels a little high for what’s offered.

The place was spotless, and the service was excellent. When I accidentally left a personal item behind, they handled its return to my city very honestly and arranged to have it shipped. Everyone was incredibly helpful. Highly recommend.
