Hotel Spa Sochagota

Good spot.

The restaurant charges as if it were fine dining, but the food and presentation don't live up to those prices. Portions looked poorly arranged, the plating wasn't appealing, and the ingredients didn't seem especially fresh. The flavors were bland, so nothing felt memorable. There was no clear culinary identity or much creativity. Some combinations felt mismatched, with generic sauces and side dishes that had little character. For a hotel presenting itself as luxurious, that lack of care was disappointing. The prices were exorbitant, yet the meal felt no better than what you'd get at an average restaurant.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the food was one of the best parts of the stay. I also loved the striking design and the lake views from all around the hotel. The thermal pool was soothing and left me feeling restored. A great choice if you're spending a few days in Paipa.

They charge high prices for what they offer, and the service and organization are seriously lacking. There's no proper way to track which rooms are rented. You can pay and they still don't know who paid or update the information, then they charge you again. I also didn't feel there was any security at the hotel. I can't recommend it.
