Gran Hotel Pereira

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff handled our concerns quickly and thoughtfully. I liked the grand feel of the hotel and its architecture, especially the spiral route down to the basement breakfast area. It’s also well placed for walking to Bolivar Square and Plaza Victoria, so I’d consider staying again. The shower space was generous, but we couldn’t get hot water. We were told to let it run for 15 minutes, which I wasn’t willing to do because it would waste water. Our street-facing room was also noisy from traffic.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the hotel had good air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV service, and extra service. The rooms are huge, the shower was fantastic, and the renovation brought things up to modern standards while keeping the old character. It dates back to the late 30s and sits right in the center of town. We enjoyed our stay a lot, thank you. To earn five stars, though, breakfast needs work, and the windows should do more to block traffic noise. Your service, bar etc.

We’ve stayed here twice, and its central location near Bolivar Plaza is handy for finding everything. The first room was very clean. On the second stay, the carpet could have been cleaner and I noticed some hairs in the bathroom. Still, it’s a good hotel overall.
