Hotel (aparta- Hotel) San Nicolás Popayán

A secure, comfortable stay for a very good price. It's a good fit for a couple, and there's also a large apartment with two beds and a full kitchen.

What a shame. I'm Canadian, 50, and have traveled a lot since I was 25. We've been touring Colombia for over a year, and I've never felt so insulted. The room was clean and good, but on our last night they rented to a group of partygoers dressed in travesti style. We couldn't sleep. In the morning I went to the desk to tell them what had happened, and the girl acted strangely, which made no sense to me. Probably drugged. She came to my room and said our reservation was cancelled and we had to leave. I was in shock. How could that happen? Then she yelled that I was "grocero," gross in Spanish. I hadn't said anything wrong or used defamatory or violent language, but the employee was very vulgar. We ended up out on the street, though it was for the best. I don't recommend this place to foreigners. Avoid it. Like a pig with lipstick. There are lots of other nice places in popayan.

Comfortable and affordable.

It's right in the heart of the historic center, with everything we needed and a very good price. The bed was comfortable, the place was clean, the microwave worked, and there were basic kitchen utensils and hot water. We had a really comfortable stay and would highly recommend it.
