The people were very friendly, and my room had a small terrace. It's a basic room and breakfast, but the hotel is wonderfully central, in a colonial building just across from the main square. Light sleepers may struggle: outside noise is one issue, but the floors also tremble when somebody walks down the hallway. There was no warm water in the shower.

I wouldn't really call it a hotel. The rooms are spacious but very old, and the beds aren't comfortable. You can hear lots of laughter from the street because of where it's located. Worst of all, they don't honor reservations made through Booking.com.

The staff seemed inexperienced at showing the rooms and weren't coordinated. We were quoted $70,000 with breakfast included, then told there was no kitchen. They didn't offer a discount or even a complimentary meal at a cafeteria, however small. The place wasn't clean, the furniture was deteriorated, and the bar drinks were excessively expensive. Loud music made it impossible to sleep at night. Very bad.
