Posada Ashanty

The little shared terrace and pool are laid out with so much care and attention to detail, and we had some lovely chats there with Kildren. He made us feel at home, helped arrange a scooter for getting around the island, and booked us a fantastic private snorkeling tour at a very fair price. Our apartment had a beautiful sea view and was very well equipped, including air conditioning and access to a shared washer and dryer. We had an incredible stay in Providence at Posada Ashanty. We didn't want to leave and hope to come back someday.

The guesthouse was spotless and comfortable for our week-long stay, and the staff were wonderfully welcoming. For the quality of the accommodation and service, the price is very good. It's conveniently close to the airport and easy to reach by scooter. I had an amazing time here on Providencia Island and would highly recommend it for a peaceful, enjoyable getaway.

Lovely family hosts, excellent Wi-Fi, and plenty of fans to keep cool. The place was absolutely excellent, the best accommodation on the island, with cheap beers by the pool and a barbecue guests can use. Thanks! I'd suggest hiring a scooter while you're here, since the main beaches are too far to walk to.

We stayed a week with our two kids at Kildren’s place, Posada Ashanty, and felt like we'd made friends. Kildren and his wife were so friendly and helpful with information and introductions to people on the island. They really went above and beyond. The apartments are clean and lovely, with comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchens, laundry facilities and nice patios. Kildren was building a swimming pool that should be a nice extra for future guests. For now, you can walk three minutes to the pier for a swim, where we saw stingrays and lots of fish. The place is in the small community of Rocky Point, which has a little grocery store, though Old Town is better for groceries. You'll need to rent scooters or mules, or take a taxi, to get around the island.
