The nightly price is appealing, around $80,000 COP. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, and the facilities were modern, clean, neat, and tidy. It’s a good Barranquilla getaway if you’re after sand and surf, and the towels are plush. The beds felt as hard as plywood, though. Breakfast can take a long time when there are big groups because the kitchenette only has a couple of burners. Linens and toiletries are pretty basic.

Every morning started with hot Colombia coffee and a hot breakfast, usually eggs and fruit, and sometimes delicious arepas. This is the sweetest little hotel, with large rooms that were completely clean and fresh. The layout surrounds a courtyard filled with palms, ferns, and windchimes, then opens out at the back to the Atlantic Ocean and a big private patio. I felt completely safe there. The front desk team, cooks, laundress, and everyone who pitched in were wonderful and helpful, including when I arranged drivers and cars to see more of the countryside. I’ll stay here again when I return to Colombia, and I’ll bring friends or send them along.
