We stayed two nights at hotel finca El Caney and had a wonderful time as a family. The rooms were amazing, the kids had fun, and the food was delicious. Thanks to Pablo, the chef, and to Sra Olga for looking after us. It's also pretty close to Panaca and El parque del Cafe.

This was just meant to be a quick lunch stop, but everything was ready when I got there, so lunch was easy to enjoy. The food was delicious, and the place was easy to reach. I also loved the special touch of the antique decor.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Still, several parts of the stay disappointed me, and I wouldn't easily recommend the hotel unless they address them. There were basic supply and maintenance problems: the shower sometimes had only a trickle of water, its dispenser was empty of soap, and there wasn't enough toilet paper. Breakfast was a letdown too, with some moldy bread, and meals in general were very basic and served in small portions. We were there through a travel agency tour. The morning after we arrived, we noticed handprints on the car windows and several windows left open, suggesting someone had tried to break in overnight. There were no security cameras at the parking area where we were told to leave the car, so we couldn't tell who was responsible. There was also an awkward privacy issue. After my wife and I showered and went back to our room to change, a cleaner opened the door without knocking, apparently to clean. We were nearly dressed, but it was uncomfortable. They should keep better track of which rooms are still occupied.
