The staff treated us like family, even grilling a welcome barbecue while we enjoyed the pool. Owner David was kind and arranged our daily outings, including a coffee hacienda visit and a rustic boat ride down the river. The hotel has a rustic Colombian style, and the area is really cool. A perfect spot for a few peaceful days in nature.

I stayed several nights with my group, and we found the hotel clean and beautiful both in the rooms and outside. The breakfast was delicious and included in a great price. The pool was clean and refreshing, and the staff were wonderful and genuinely caring toward their guests. You can't go wrong staying here!

Doña Elena and Alberto made sure we had a smooth stay, and the room service was superb. My friend and I were at the finca-hotel El Saman from October 16 to the 20, 2019, and we plan to repeat the trip next year. The grounds were immaculate, the food excellent, and the rooms were five-star and well maintained. Nothing went wrong during our five-day stay. Thanks, and see you next year!

Breakfast was good, though a little more variety would help for stays longer than a weekend, and the coffee needs improvement. The pool was pleasant, tidy, and relaxing, and there was free WiFi for uploading the day's photos. Joanna and the rest of the staff were wonderful and made us feel at home. With beautiful views from nearly everywhere and comfortable Colombian-style rooms that are a bit rustic, I'd strongly recommend Hacienda El Samán.

We felt right at home, maybe even better, and will definitely recommend this place and return. Katiuska and Gloria were great in the kitchen and looking after the rooms, and the breakfast was delicious. Ricardo is a great manager who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and cared for.
