The staff were friendly, and there’s a pool, but this is a basic hotel. It’s somewhat isolated and a long way from the center, and the neighborhood didn’t feel very safe. There’s no restaurant.

Don Pastor and the staff were so attentive and helpful, which made the stay even better. We liked it enough to come back. The facilities at Hotel La Maracuyá were charming and very clean, and the simple rooms were comfortable, with air conditioning and well-equipped bathrooms. The pool was a nice spot to unwind. I’d recommend it for a pleasant stay in the Caribbean.

I felt comfortable and safe staying here on my own. The staff, especially Mr. Pastor, were kind, respectful, and helpful, and the service was excellent. The hotel was clean, attractive, and provided the services listed in its description. It’s a bit far from the center of Riohacha, so you’ll need transport if you don’t have a car. Getting a ride is easy, though, and they can help arrange one there.

I wouldn’t say the price is worth it. During my family’s two-day stay, the electricity was out the whole time, the pool seemed not to have been cleaned or had its water changed in a long while, and the room showers were clogged. The area also isn’t great for tourism, so you have to drive for safety.
