Hotel Santiago de Arma

The room was the one real drawback for us: it was small and plain, with a 32-inch Samsung TV, no washcloths, and no iron or ironing board. The bathroom was better, with a roomy shower for two. Still, the hotel looks great inside and out, has a pleasant restaurant open until 9pm, and there’s a nice patio with bird feeders. It’s only two or three minutes from MDE International Airport, and a shuttle is available. Sancho Paisa, an authentic Colombian restaurant next door, was a good choice for dinner. The staff were nice too, including Carlos, who helped with our bags. My wife and I spent 11 days in Colombia but only one night at Santiago de Arma because of the airport location. I wish we’d had another day or two there. It’s a good fit for a one or two day stay.

American Airlines canceled our flight twice, and the airport arranged a night here for us with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included. Everything was clean and organized, the food was delicious, and we felt safe with the transportation. The service was lovely, and I was happy with the stay. Definitely recommend it if your flight is canceled or delayed. Gracias a todos ustedes ❤️

We missed our flight and booked this place at the last minute. The beds were comfortable, and being so close to the airport was convenient. The included shuttle meant we didn’t need to sort out an Uber or taxi. Angie and the bell man were friendly and helpful 🙂

For an early flight, the location so near the airport is hard to beat, and I’d stay again. Breakfast was great, the transfer was efficient, and the service was lovely. A few things in my room were frustrating, though: the door wouldn’t close properly, and the sliding bolt didn’t fit. I couldn’t get the TV working because it kept scanning channels without finding any. The hot water also took such a long time to come through in the shower that I nearly gave up.
