My extended family split our stay between the hotel and the tents. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport, and I’d recommend it. The rooms were cleaned daily, and everyone on staff was helpful. The receptionist was especially good at sorting out any issues, and the restaurant team were great too, including the young man behind the bar.

Do not book here if you travel with a service animal. Teva is not kind to people with disabilities traveling with service animals, and I felt discriminated against. I booked a room at Teva Glamping and Retreat months before our trip to Colombia, and made sure the booking said I’d be bringing Lola, my registered service dog from the United States. She’s calm, exceptionally well behaved, and every other place we stayed had welcomed and understood her. We’d spent four days in Salento at two different hotels without an issue, though traveling with her in Colombia had been stressful in grocery stores. Up until Teva, hotels and Airbnbs had been fine. My husband is originally from Colombia and handled the Spanish, since I struggle with it and our son doesn’t speak it. We drove a long way from Salento and arrived hungry and tired, looking forward to a meal and a quiet night before our early flight. Until we arrived, the service had been wonderful, with texts and information sent days ahead. Nobody mentioned a problem with service dogs. At check-in, the receptionist was cold and unfriendly, then said hotel policy meant we couldn’t stay in the room I’d booked. They offered another place down some stairs, with a jacuzzi and a bunk bed for our son. I said it wouldn’t work. After struggling back up the stairs to the office, I was having trouble breathing. It was a tent, not a room. I told the receptionist he was being unfriendly and discriminating against a person with a disability. He argued with me. I told him I knew Colombia law 1618 covered my dog, and showed him her paperwork and certifications. We asked for our money back and went to the car to find another hotel. Even while refunding us, they’re keeping a percentage, and say it will take 15-30 business days for the money to come back. If they had policies about service animals, they should have told me right after I booked, not two months later when we arrived to check in. After all that trouble, they shouldn’t keep part of our money.

We went because a friend recommended it, and I’m glad we did. The staff were cordial and very accommodating, and the place was clean. We especially enjoyed the superb view from the dining room. The special burger was a hit at dinner, and breakfast was a very nice typical paisa meal. We stayed in the presidential suite, which was lovely, with a fireplace and jacuzzi. Mornings were a little noisy, but otherwise it was very nice.

We arrived late after a long flight and were relaxing in our room just 20 minutes later. The hotel is a perfect distance from the airport, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The kitchen stayed open fairly late, so we had a nice snack before bed. We slept wonderfully in a quiet room with a lovely view. A great stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, style, relaxation and convenience.

We booked for my mom’s birthday, and it was absolutely incredible. The room was clean and super comfortable, and the staff were awesome. Sonia was especially sweet and even surprised us with a birthday brownie. We’ll definitely be back.
