Hotel Once22

Room 502 was a mess. The toilet was dirty and didn't flush properly, the shower was dirty too, and the towels had blood on them. One bathroom light was out, and the front desk wasn't attentive. The only good thing was the free breakfast. Don't come here.

The hotel itself is nice, and most of the staff are too. The owner, unfortunately, wasn't helpful. I booked five days through Bookings.com but chose to leave one day early. She told me to contact Bookings.com, which I did. When they asked her to refund the final day, she refused. She had me make calls and run around even though she never intended to reimburse me. Not nice at all.

The beds were unbelievably comfortable, with plenty of pillows, a very soft duvet, and a great mattress. I slept better here than at any other hotel. The place was spotless, and the staff were kind, attentive, and ready to help at any time. There's 24/7 security, and I felt safe from the moment I arrived. Sabaneta is a pleasant, modern, very safe neighborhood, close to restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and public transit. For me, this was the best-located and cleanest hotel in Medellín. Nothing to complain about, the whole stay was impeccable. I'd recommend it completely, and wouldn't look elsewhere.

I came back because my first stay was wonderful, from the service and room to the food. The second visit felt like a different place. The receptionist seemed in a bad mood, and the next morning, a Sunday, they started hammering at 7:00 am. If they were renovating, they should have said so, or at least let guests know so they could decide whether to stay. Who does construction work that early on a Sunday?
