Casa de las Dos Palmas

The walls are thin, so street noise comes through easily, and voices around the pool echo. I sleep deeply, so it didn't bother me once I was asleep, but light sleepers may want earplugs. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. I had a wonderful few nights in January. The owner and her son were helpful with activity recommendations and arranging tours, and the rest of the staff were very friendly. Laundry came back quickly and cost a great price. Breakfast was served hot and fresh, with a few choices and different fruit each day.

The location is great, and it wasn't too noisy. Rooms were clean, but breakfast was only average. The jacuzzi is covered and only turned on at night. It's a decent 2.5-star hotel, just not worth what they charge.

The hotel has its charms, and the hot tub was especially welcome after a long day. Andrés and the staff were wonderful hosts. Even after I'd checked out, they helped arrange transportation to the airport. People mention the noise, and yes, you can hear the street. That's true throughout Salento, so bring earplugs.

The walls are so thin that you hear everything from outside. There's a bar right across from the hotel playing music until 3 am, and with the location, sleep is hard unless you bring industrial-grade earplugs.
