Casa Tien

The cabaña is small but cosy, with everything you need, and we loved the large shared terrace and kitchen, which was fully equipped for cooking. We had a great stay and enjoyed the lovely view. We didn't meet the owner jerome, but he was very responsive on whatsapp and friendly. Ana made us Colombian breakfast, though her Spanish was a little hard to understand. Salento looks close, but you'll need a taxi since most buses passing by are full, so getting there costs a bit. We hitchhiked one day and got a ride right away.

We left Casa Tien with lovely memories. It's surrounded by nature and animals, and meeting their llama was a highlight that made the place feel especially magical and true to rural Colombia. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and so helpful. They even arranged a cake, flowers, and balloons for my birthday, such a thoughtful touch that made it unforgettable. The house has a special charm, and the countryside is peaceful and quiet. It's about a 10-minute drive outside Salento, close enough for easy access to town while still enjoying the calm. If you want comfort, nature, and wonderful hospitality, I can't recommend Casa Tien enough.

A bird-watcher's paradise just off the main road into Salento. The host is helpful with all sorts of suggestions, and breakfast is good. Great place.

I regret not booking a longer stay. Jerome and Yoja's property is incredibly beautiful, with a view from the balcony that the pictures don't capture. Nature, lovely views, and people surround you, and I felt at home. They were clear about directions, responsive, and helpful, and I loved the restaurant they recommended in Salento. Their dogs and cat are super friendly too. If you love animals, nature, and natural beauty, this is a peaceful gem. Thank you so much!
