It’s a simple place, not fancy, and that’s part of its authentic charm. You feel welcomed into the farm and family throughout your stay, and I loved this little community. Lena is fantastic and deserves an award, Wilmer gives excellent horseback tours, and Edward can show you hidden gems in the nearby mountains.

The owner clearly takes pride in this beautiful Coffee Region property and cares about guests' experience. It has a peaceful atmosphere and an authentic countryside feel, and the warm, helpful, attentive manager makes the stay even better. I’d happily return and highly recommend it.

We chose the three-hour horseback riding route and it was beautiful. La Cabaña is well placed, quiet and remote enough for peaceful nights while still making it easy to visit Salento. We spent two wonderful nights there. The staff were so kind, especially Eduardo, who picked us up at the airport and drove us back. The food was delicious and good value, with classic Colombian dishes prepared and presented really well. I’d recommend it to anyone traveling in Colombia to visit the Cocora Valley.

We couldn’t wait to return after four incredible nights at La Cabaña. The hotel sits in a spectacular valley, about 5-10 minutes outside beautiful Salento, with tranquil nature all around. The team were kind and welcoming, the rooms lovely, the views stunning, and the food great. It’s easy to get into town and to the incredible Cocora Valley, which is a must visit. We loved it.

Sebastian really goes above and beyond with his service, and the staff can drive you into Salento. Getting back to the finca on a public Willy is easy, so I highly recommend staying outside town. The horseback ride to Santa Rita waterfall was amazing and an absolute must do, one of the highlights of our Colombia trip.
