Cabañas y Camping Colinas de San Diego

The hosts were kind, the setting was beautiful, and local attractions were close by. There was good parking for motorcycles, too. I’d happily stay again.

Parking is available, at least. The service was terrible, and we wouldn’t return even if the stay were free; it still feels expensive. They changed our reservation without telling us and charged the same amount for a worse room. There was no natural light, and the only way to get any was to open a “window” that was actually part of a stable. We had no privacy and noise around the clock. The bathroom was covered in mold, like something researchers should catalog as a possible new species that resists cleaning. Hot water was only available from 6 to 9 in the morning, not consistently all day. Breakfast was so bad that sewer water sounded more appealing, and the staff were incredibly rude. Between a night here and a park bench, I’d pick the bench.

Humberto and the staff were friendly and cheerful every time, and they left nothing wanting. The view is breathtaking, and the jacuzzi is perfect for unwinding. Want a beer? No problem. I felt almost at home right away, only better, and I’ll try to come back.
