Ceiba by Masaya Collection

We loved spending time in the large, welcoming circular bamboo lodge, where you can relax or socialize inside or out with a drink from the bar or a meal. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, a desk, chairs inside, and a couple more on the deck. The valley view from there was gorgeous, so I'd ask for a room facing the valley. Breakfast and dinner were tasty, and the attentive staff were extremely thoughtful. It's terrific and convenient, easy to get to the nearby UNESCO sites, and we understand it's the nicest hotel in the area.

The food was delicious, very affordable, and served in huge portions. We ordered way too much! The accommodation was really lovely and the staff were very nice. I'd recommend staying here 10/10.

The views were breathtaking, the staff friendly, and the restaurant beautiful with delicious food. We had a lovely time otherwise, but the jacuzzi suite upgrade was a letdown. The uncovered tub was dirty inside, with leaves and debris all around the deck. We cleaned it before filling, but there wasn't enough hot water to get it even halfway full. After a lukewarm soak, we switched on the jets and brown, oily bubbles came out, like they hadn't been cleaned in a while. Maybe the water comes from the river or something, but it definitely put us off.

The room and food were exceptional, and the service was too. The staff were very helpful with any questions we had.
