Hotel Imperio Copacabana

Mrs. Heidy looked after us warmly, offered a guided tour, and even made us coffee in the morning. The place was clean, had hot water, and was reasonably priced at 35,000 pesos a night. There are several room types, generally arranged over two floors, with one bed downstairs and a small area upstairs for another. It was a good atmosphere and just right for a rest.

Heidi and her father Pedro made us feel like royalty. They run a comfortable hotel in a quiet spot outside the city, with a lovely outdoor area. Heidi makes breakfast and can bring you tinto or aromatica with herbs from the garden whenever you like. Pedro cooked us fresh trout with homemade fries and salad for a very reasonable price, and the accommodation was good value too. He also offers horseback tours from the hotel to four nearby archaeological sites, a beautiful ride through the hills. Our room had a large, comfortable bed, a TV, hot water, and excellent Wi-Fi. The hotel is easy to reach from the city center, a five-minute walk, and there’s a shop across the street for anything you need. We had a wonderful time with them.

Pedro is such a wonderful person. We’d happily come back.

The staff go out of their way to give excellent service, and the service is very good. The beds weren’t comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep, though, and some rooms don’t have much space for luggage.
