Bersantai Hostel

We had paid for two rooms, but on arrival there was only one available. At night, with a baby, we were left waiting more than an hour while they tried to sort it out. Nobody apologized; they just said they didn't know what had happened. In the end they put us in a shared room that had been cleaned in a hurry. There was hair all over the floor and even a cockroach. They also said there were no towels because of COVID, though other guests were getting them. Extremely disorganized, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms are comfortable, despite the outside giving a different impression. From the street, it needs clearer signs, especially since there's another hotel right across the road. Acceptable.

It's a very basic hostel in a great spot, right in the commercial area and just two minutes from the beach. The rooms have AC and a fridge, though they look a little worn and could use some renovation.

The cost doesn't feel justified by what's offered. Late at night there can be no water for a shower, and some ceilings in the rooms are coming apart. This doesn't feel like a hostel: the rooms sit on a badly maintained rooftop terrace, with no hot water and only a weak stream of cold water. There aren't common spaces either. All the rooms connect by a walkway to a concrete patio in an old gallery.
