Rosa's food was so good that we never felt like eating out, and the rooms and hostel facilities were very good too. We ended up extending our stay because we loved being at Big V. Kevin welcomed us warmly, showed us around, and explained what we needed to know. Right from the start, we felt at home, like part of the island and the family. We'd recommend Big V hostel wholeheartedly and would love to return. Greetings from Dita y Luu.

Kevin looked after us the whole time and showed us local places, including basketball games. I even left my powerbank at their house, and he brought it to the airport for me. The location is laid-back and gave us a real local experience, and breakfast was great. One of the best hostels I've stayed in. ❤️ Thanks!

The hostel is in a small, pleasant village near some really relaxed beaches, about 20 minutes by scooter from the very touristy center of San Andres. Renting a scooter makes it easy to explore the island. From the moment we arrived, my girlfriend and I were treated like family. It's a beautiful place run by lovely people, and it made our San Andres trip perfect. We might even come back after our month in Colombia just to stay at Big V again.

Rosa and Cynthia cook wonderfully, and I definitely recommend their dinners. The Raizal family here makes you feel at home straight away. For directions, tell taxi drivers to go to the "Coliseo San Luis," the stadium across the street from Big V.

Everything is very basic, and the bathroom isn't especially inviting. The rooms only have fans, and the WiFi doesn't work, as is common on many islands. The owner is super kind and breakfast is good. The mosquitoes are hungry, so bring repellent.
