Casa Las Palmas Hotel Boutique

The thing that meant the most to us was how lovingly and respectfully everyone treated my elderly parents. We felt like family. Fa'afetai, fa'afetai, fa'afetai tele lava mo mea uma, Gloria, Elena, Mari, Winston, Leo and everyone at Casa Las Palmas! Gloria and the staff were wonderful throughout our family's stay. They made meals to order, offered massages by the pool, laundry, and all sorts of help. Elena, the concierge, had great ideas for activities and places to eat. We were craving fresh coconut, and cold ones were ready to drink about ten minutes later, more than half a dozen of them. The weather was warm, but the air conditioned rooms were a comfortable escape from the humidity. We also loved relaxing by the private pool when we weren't out enjoying San Andres.

The pool and gym are nice, so it's easy to spend a day or two at the hotel. It's also a relaxing place to come back to, with the sea about five minutes away and Downtown San Andres around 20 minutes by taxi. The staff were very accommodating, the owners were lovely to talk with, and the food was delicious. I'd recommend it to anyone staying on San Andres Island.

Leo's cooking was the real highlight, it's awesome. The grounds and pool are beautiful, the rooms are nice, and the staff are super friendly. Even the dogs are lovely. A beautiful haven away from the bustle of the main town.

The rooms are in a small cabana off to the side at the back, so the house itself isn't where you stay. Don't come expecting to live in a designer house. The place has an architectural style that suggests it was once great, but that was a long time ago. It's past its prime, and the maintenance hasn't kept up. The wood is discolored. Service also meant dealing with a sharp-tongued owner who blasted music toward the rooms at 2 in the morning. That sealed it for me. It felt like a greedy motel.
