The staff are nice and friendly, but the daytime noise made it hard to relax. They played music all day, workers hung around the lobby chatting and sending voice messages, and their phones kept beeping with notifications. They even left a TV on for no reason, and there was woodworking right by the pool. Nights were better, thankfully. There’s no food service besides breakfast, which is too bad.

The food was a mixed bag. Breakfast was great, but lunch and dinner were just okay, and it would help to have a snack bar for things to keep in the room fridge. There aren’t many restaurants nearby unless you walk about a mile to Rocky Cay, where there are several good beach spots. The hotel can arrange a golf-cart, or “mule,” to drive around the island, or a guided boat trip. We went to Johnny Cay and Aquarius, which was pretty great, though crowded. The hotel itself was very chill. This is a new hotel with a few kinks, but the layout, design, rooms, and amenities were picture perfect. The pool was fantastic, and the cabanas beside it were great. There’s no jacuzzi, but the pool is so good that it didn’t matter. The little bar had a very sweet, knowledgeable, and friendly barman and DJ named Emilde. The staff were professional and very good, especially under GM Tatiana and front desk Yuri. We had an amazing view, a great balcony, and all the TV channels, but there was no WiFi signal on the upper floors. The hotel is owned by a bunch of nice guys from Cali, Colombia. I’d definitely come back. From what I could see after driving around the whole island in a golf cart, I think it’s the best on San Andres.

The rooms are amazing and the service is great, with plenty of helpful people around. Caribbean Corals Hotel is brand new and has a cool pool and a great variety of breakfast options. It’s a lovely spot in San Andres, close to the local beaches and away from busy downtown, so it’s perfect for relaxing. They can help arrange taxis and golf cars for rent. The price and the view were the main positives for me. I was disappointed with our room: there was no hot water the first night, the phone didn’t work, and the sliding glass door wouldn’t lock.
