Commodore bay Club

The staff were friendly, but one day we were left waiting outside for 25 minutes because nobody was at reception. The building itself is in poor shape. The pool tiles have so many damaged spots they could cut someone using it, and there was a paint can lid at the bottom. The elevator was the only thing working well. Apartment 402 also fell well short of what the photos promised compared with its actual condition.

We were in apartment 602, and the view was incredible. It’s comfortable too, and the beach is right across the street, so getting there is easy.

From the penthouse you get almost a 360-degree view of the island, and there are supermarkets downstairs on the first floor. The service was good, and though the building isn’t new, it’s in excellent condition. It’s very close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Good value if you’re not coming to relax, since nearby nightclubs can make it feel like you’re dancing in bed unless you bring earplugs.

We rented a penthouse apartment and the view was very good. It’s a rental apartment building with air conditioning in every room, plus a generator and an elevator. There’s a shallow pool, about 1.40m, and a 24-hour supermarket right at the entrance. The tap water also tasted much more neutral than at other hotels I’ve visited in the city.
