Golden Beach Apartments

Awful. My wife got serious burn blisters on her hand when the faulty gas stove shot out a large fireball. We have used gas stoves many times while travelling, but that's not even the point. When I raised the injury with the owner, she seemed completely unconcerned and kept saying we must have used it wrong. Her lack of concern matched the property's disinterested, run-down feel. In decades of travel, this is one of the worst places I've stayed. We spent several weeks travelling around Colombia and stayed in various hostels and posadas. On arrival there was nobody at the property, so we had to get a neighbor to track down the owner. Even after the neighbor reached her, we had to pay them the full stay amount in cash before she would come meet us. The room looked nothing like the pictures. The toilet cistern kept running and had to be fixed, but the toilet seat was never replaced. Those were minor issues compared with the stove injury.
