Hostal Posada San Martín

It's close to the city's commercial area, though I didn't find the location ideal. The price also felt a bit high. The rooms are small and hot even with air conditioning, and the beds aren't very comfortable. The doors and windows open onto the shared area, so there's not much privacy.

A welcoming, nicely decorated posada, but the noise was a real problem. There's no soundproofing, and some windows are just wooden panels. With dogs barking, children crying, and loud music going late into the night, it was incredibly noisy. I had booked a room with a microwave, but there wasn't one in the room, only in the shared kitchen. Cleanliness was okay. You can find better places for a similar price.

The rooms were okay, but I had to move elsewhere because the shared bathroom setup didn't work for me. There are only two toilets and two showers for lots of rooms, so the toilets are usually dirty and smelly. Finding soap or toilet paper is a matter of luck. The Italian owner was nice, though the bike rental and tour prices he quoted were high compared with other hotels and tour companies. There are better options for the price.

A rustic place with friendly people. The Wi-Fi is slow, though the whole island has poor connection. There weren't many international travelers there.
