The owner is kind, and some of the workers are good, though others don’t seem happy to see you. There’s no front desk after hours, or really in general. It doesn’t have what I’d expect from a hotel, such as a lobby or front desk, and I mentioned to the nice owner that the protocols need a serious review. I’ll keep to myself why I couldn’t give it more stars. It’s an okay place to stay.

Yaneth was incredibly kind and went out of her way to look after my wife and me. The cleaning person also does a great job. Hotel Las Lunas feels safe, and it’s quiet at night, with the beach and shops both close by. Our room was clean and cozy, with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a fridge, microwave, and warm water in the shower. I’d happily stay at hotel Las Lunas again if I return to San Andres island.

The family who runs the place is so welcoming. Their care and attention made us feel really good. I hope I get to come back to this beautiful island one day.

The best part is the location, right at the start of the Playa Spratt beach walk and near the Marina bay tours. The Wi-Fi is very weak. I could use Google Translate, but loading a Safari page or opening Instagram was difficult. There was no hot or warm water, and even lukewarm would have been fine. Cold showers were hard after a long day. There also wasn’t a place to set up a laptop for work. The toilet took about 10 minutes to refill before the next flush, which was awkward when you needed it again.
