Saphire Apartments

Luz, our Airbnb host at Saphire Apartments, did everything she could to make our stay in SAI go well. She was always helpful, polite, and attentive. The apartment had a comfortable bed, a safe in the room, and very effective air conditioning. I took the photos when we checked out, and the place had been handed over to us spotless. There are plenty of kitchen items, which made it easy to prepare breakfast or even dinner. Luz also rents scooters at prices in line with the rest of the island, and it was convenient to have the scooter right outside the apartment. There’s a small market next door with fair prices, handy for picking up water, bread, and cheese for breakfast. The tap water isn’t drinkable, like across San Andres island, so we only used it for showers and dishes. The shower doesn’t have hot water. I didn’t mind, but my wife had a bit of a hard time with it despite the island’s heat. The apartment is about a 40-minute walk from downtown San Andres. You can go by scooter if you have a license, or take a taxi through the InDrive app. You agree on the fare and pay in cash. I recommend staying here and would definitely come back.
