We stayed two nights in November 2018, and the only possible downside was that our room felt pretty small. Everything else was great. The kitchen was spacious, clean, and well equipped, with a filter for making tap water drinkable so we could refill our reusable bottle. The room was very clean, the price was extremely attractive, and the location was ideal near Central Park, though up a steep hill. Sylvain and his wife were really nice, offered laundry service, and baked us crepes. Thanks for everything, Sylvain!

After seven nights here, I found Le Papillon a lovely, calm, clean place to rest and recover after the day's sports activities in San Gil. The owners gave us a warm welcome, were available, and offered practical suggestions for things to do nearby. Keep it up! :-)

We ended up staying longer than we planned because we felt so welcome the whole time. The owner makes amazing bread and coffee, and is also great for tips on local activities, markets, and places to visit. Such a great place.

A lovely garden and common areas, secure lockers, and a kitchen stocked with what you need. The owners are lovely too, and they know loads about activities, bus schedules, and travel tips. A perfect little hostel with everything you need.

For information, this hostal is closed. Hostelworld still lets people book it, and you'll lose part of your deposit if you do. We met another woman who had booked there through Hostelworld too, then arrived after a very long bus ride and had to find somewhere else to stay. Hostelworld has done nothing to fix this.
