Hotel Campestre Santa Catalina

The restaurant serves great meals, and the staff were very friendly. It’s a beautiful location, with fair prices, and they also offer relaxing massages. The rooms are decent, though they could use a little decoration, perhaps a nice picture of the beautiful Santander landscape. Breakfast was short on variety and choices. Even so, I’d say it’s a good hotel to stay at.

I especially want to mention Jen, adelmar, Lucho, Angie, and Catalina for the excellent service. The restaurant food was superb, and the location was excellent too. It was an amazing place for a relaxed stay, with a lovely atmosphere and personal attention. I’d highly recommend it.

The lobby, pool, and staff were nice, but I definitely wouldn’t stay here again. A wedding went on until 1am and was very noisy, and there was loud street noise too. It’s not convenient for downtown, and AC is available in only SOME rooms. We had hot-water problems, the fan was loud and didn’t work very well, and breakfast was horrible.

The pool area is a nice spot, with sunbeds, chairs, and a great jacuzzi. The grounds are well kept, parking is good, and the staff are helpful and polite. The hotel is spacious, clean, and on the outskirts of town. My room was basic but had a comfortable bed. The aircon worked well and was quiet, though the hot water came and went depending on the time of day and how much it was being used. Restaurant service could be better, and breakfast may take a while when they’re busy. The food was okay, nothing special. Fast laundry service on site, plus free coffee and water in the lobby, were nice touches. I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it as a base for the many activities in the area.
